Our Governance 

At Buckeye REC, we believe in democratic principles and member representation. Governed by a nine-member Board of Trustees—each elected by our membership to serve six-year terms—we ensure that our cooperative remains accountable and responsive to the needs of our community. While our Annual Meeting is held once each year, board elections occur every other year as part of our cooperative’s regular election cycle. Our trustees convene monthly to oversee the strategic direction of the cooperative and make decisions that uphold our commitment to excellence.
